TopStyle has been discontinued and support is no longer available. The forum is read-only. NOTE: TopStyle was not developed by the makers of CSS HTML Validator.
I often have a program freeze in TopStyle (5.0.0.87) which can be reproduced in this way:
Start TypoStyle5 (in a maximized window)
Click New HTML Document > XHTML 1.0 Strict
Add new linie behind <title></title>
Insert internal style via palette "CSS"
Mark internal style
Click in palette on "Head"
Click on Menu "File"
Hover mouse cursor over menu bar
--> Program freezes when menu swings out.
Remarkable: When clicking on the task bar and switch back to TopStyle, the menu swings out when mouse hover over the menu bar. But after a few seconds there is a re-freeze. The freeze only affects TopStyle and not windows or other applications (e.g. Outlook). The bug also occurs when TopStyle is the only active application.
My OS details:
Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit) SP1 German
Build 6.1.7601
IE Version 9.0.8112.16421
4 Gib RAM
The freezes worries me, so any suggestions are welcome!
What web browser is running inside the TopStyle Output/Preview panel? I'm guessing Internet Explorer because it is notorious for this behavior. Have you tried Google Chrome? Preview > Use Google Chrome as the internal browser
Task switching (Alt-Tab) to another app and then back to TopStyle seems to unlock this problem -- can you confirm this?
I can confirm this for TopStyle 5.0.0.93 with Windows 7 as described in my first post.
But: This only works for a little while, then the freeze returns.
