Batch Wizard link report CSE 16.04

Post by brettkan »

Hi - when i run the batch wizard it lists all the "OK" links. This behaviour seems to have changed since the last version - I run the same report each month.

Report options > link Report > include in link report > OK links.~~ Is unchecked (only error links is checked)

Also png icon files in the root are showing up - also as "OK" - but why are they listed.

https://www.rnoh.nhs.uk/

Thanks!

Hello,

Are these "OK" links that are redirected and are highlighted as yellow? If so then that may be why. If you don't want those links to show up then you can go to the Link Checking page in the Validator Engine Options and set the 'Redirected links' option to "OK".

If that doesn't resolve the problem then can you send me a page of your report that shows the problem (to support at htmlvalidator dot com)?

I hope this helps!

Hi Albert - the problem seems to be that all links are being listed, yet i have only asked for errors to be listed. This behaviour seems to have changed since the last version.

Hello,

Thank you for the screen shots. There has not been a recent behavior change that should cause this problem. Good links should not be listed in the Master Link Report. Unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce this issue.

Can you post a screenshot of the link report (typically under the validation message report for a target) for https://www.rnoh.nhs.uk/ (or email the report page to me)? The comment field of the link report for https://www.rnoh.nhs.uk/ may contain information that is helpful. Perhaps there is a reason that the "OK" link is turning bad (like a bad content type).

Also, if you re-run the Batch Wizard job, do you still get the same results? If it works now then it may have been a temporary server issue.

And if you use File->Open from the Web in CSE HTML Validator's editor to validate https://www.rnoh.nhs.uk/ and run the link checker (from the Links tab in the Results Window), what do you see in the Links tab? Do you see any "OK" links that come up as errors or warnings (with a red or yellow square)?
