Hi there,
I'm running CSE HTML Validator v 14.0 and today Malwarebytes 3.5.1. reported for the first time that it had found two instances of 'Adware.BundleInstaller' and recommended that i quarantine them.
Needless to say that CSE HTML Validator no longer started when they were quarantined. Has anyone else received this PUP threat in Malewarebytes and is this worth worrying about?
kind regard
Gws

Re: Malwarebytes Reporting Adware
Hello,
I'm sorry for the trouble. It must be (another) false positive.
You can always run something through https://www.virustotal.com/ to be sure.
The other possibility is that something corrupted the file... but I think that is unlikely.
Maybe (hopefully) the next update of Malwarebytes will fix this.
