Run from USB-Stick?

Post by Sares »

Hi Albert,

is it somehow possible to run CSE & Batch Wizard from USB-Stick??

This would be great! Please let me know, if there is a way doing so.

Thank you very much and kind regards,
Sares

Hello,

Sorry, CSE HTML Validator isn't designed to simply run from a USB stick... but maybe there is a way to do it (if there is, I don't know it).

I'm not sure, but I thought some software exists to help you run programs off USB sticks (that weren't designed to run off them)? You might want to research that (and let us know).

Hi Albert,

thanks for this infos.

I do not know such software and I think if CSE is using the registry to store it´s values, then it will be hard to get it work.

But nevertheless, thank you Albert!

Kind regards,

Check these links out:

I think these programs use ways to make the registry portable, but I don't know exactly how they work. CSE HTML Validator does indeed use the registry a lot. I'm not sure if it will work with CSE HTML Validator but I haven't tried to get it to work.
