Hi Stefan

Could it be a hidden file?

Move _ts4tmp.asp to %appdata%

When editing classic ASP files, a _ts4tmp.asp file appears in the same folder as the edited file. This can be a nusiance because it can be inadvertently copied in file sync operations and the like. Surely the most appropriate place for this is in the user's temp folder or %appdata% somewhere. Regard...

Re: Open file location

Sorry I can see the ambiguity now. By the current file I mean the file that has the focus in TopStyle. So if I have an open file: C:\webwork\client\a client\clients website\styles\css.css What I want to be able to do is go to the File menu item or the right-click context menu and click on Open file ...

Open file location

Visual Studio and a number of other products have a useful item on the File menu, namely Open file location. This opens the file location for the current file in Windows Explorer. It's a very useful facility and easy to implement.

Re: Disable errors caused by ASP.NET

Thanks Albert.

For information, I've been looking into Model-View-Controller ASP.NET websites recently and they don't have these non-standard tags.

Take a look at the source for:

www.file-centre.co.uk
www.commercialtransfer.co.uk

Both these sites have viewstate enabled.

I'm probably wrong about 99% of ASP.NET web pages, I think it applies to ASP.NET sites using master pages.

Hi Albert The fix has worked fine. I'll just have to remember it might disappear on an update. With regard to it being a common issue: I think the ID will appear in any tag rendered by ASP.NET when the runat="server" attribute is specified ie frequently, and possibly in many of the header ...

Disable errors caused by ASP.NET

ASP.NET pages loaded from a URL contain errors over which I have no control and therefore I want to ignore them. In particular I get the following; <meta id="ctl00_keywords" name="keywords" ... The validator is (quite correctly) complaining about the id attribute, but I'm not giv...

Hi Albert

Thanks for that - works a treat. But how do I turn it back on again when I need it?

Suppress particular messages in the batch wizard

I want to be able to suppress a particular message during batch processing. The message I want to suppress is: The "a" tag contains no link text. Though it is not technically required, it is recommended that all "a" elements contain appropriate link text or an appropriate element...
