Adobe Flash http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/flash-o ... butes.html says the width attribute
is mandatory on the EMBED and OBJECT tags. Validator complains about it.
Perhaps you could make an exception for flash.

I'm sorry for the delay.
This doesn't appear to be an issue in the latest version, v14.02. That is, there are no validator complaints about using the "width" and "height" attributes with "embed" and "object". Can you confirm that this is the case? If not, then can you provide a sample document that reproduces the issue? Thanks.
