Hi,
I apologize if this has already been requested.... I looked to see if it had, but didn't see it.
Is it possible for TopStyle 5 to remember whether individual CSS groups were expanded or collapsed when a file is reopened?
It would also be nice to have a panel on the left that lists the CSS groups that have been created so that you can navigate from group to group without scrolling (and also see the groups at a glance, in effect, creating an outline).
Background... I use TopStyle *only* as a CSS editor. I've been using it for years. I updated primarily because of the new grouping feature.... all I'm interested in is CSS functionality, and particularly in help with style sheet organization.... frankly, I am a little concerned that it is getting bloated with HTML tools... my response to the people who are asking for features that are in Sharepoint and other large expensive programs is that if they want those features, they should buy those programs... if this continues, I may have to find a different CSS editor.
If you wish to continue developing a html editor, please consider splitting the products and selling two that can work together (or not) ... or else a CSS editor only version ... minimal html editing is also fine, but please don't take what has historically been a great product and try to make it into a swiss army knife.
thank you again for your consideration,
Diane

1. Open de CSS Selector Panel (View > Panels > CSS Selector Panel)artemis wrote:It would also be nice to have a panel on the left that lists the CSS groups that have been created so that you can navigate from group to group without scrolling (and also see the groups at a glance, in effect, creating an outline).
2. Click on the Options button (the one with the gear), then click on: Categorize By > Group Name

LOVE That! Thank You
Can I have the CSS Selector panel 2x, one with classes, ids listed alpha and a second panel with groups, so I can either display both at the same time or flip back and forth without losing my place in the display of the long list of styles?

Re: CSS organizational tools
can we also please chose to sort the groups either by alpha or by order of appearance in the stylesheet?
Re: CSS organizational tools
also - when displaying by groups, if there are nested groups, the parent appears multiple times on the CSS selector panel

Re: CSS organizational tools
I have added the following new option to the CSS Selector Panel: Options > Sort Groupsartemis wrote:can we also please chose to sort the groups either by alpha or by order of appearance in the stylesheet?
When turned on, this option will sort the groups alphabetically (otherwise, they will appear by order of appearance).
To be included with TopStyle version 5.0.0.96
