Still developing on a 32-bit OS?

If you still use a Windows 32-bit OS to develop on (for example, a system that you would run CSS HTML Validator on for development), then please let us know about it (and why). Thanks!

UPDATE: As expected, it seems just about everyone has moved to 64-bit now, especially on any development machine... but if you're an exception then please let us know.

Periodically, maybe once a year, I use a 32 bit Win 10 machine. It's a laptop.

This might be for up to 4 weeks.

In those times I generally need to do some work with the validator.

Interesting... is there a specific reason that is a 32-bit machine? Is it just old?

The machine is older and has 4GB of memory. At that memory size I judge 32 bit to be the wisest thing to do.

Thanks! How would it affect your use of CSS HTML Validator if the next major release at the end of this year (or early next) was 64-bit only?

When I'm using the 32 bit machine, I'd use the old version.

It's very possible that CSS HTML Validator 2019 will be 64-bit only. I'm working on it now and it seems to be going well but of course things could always change.

In any case, if anyone is against going 64-bit only, please let me know ASAP. I would like to know. Thank you.

To update this topic, CSS HTML Validator 2019 is officially 64-bit only!

If you still need a 32-bit then I can provide an unofficial 32-bit build if you contact me. Of course CSS HTML Validator 2018 (32-bit) is still available as well to registered users licensed for 2018 or 2019.
