Error Opening File UTF-8 Encoding Problem
When I try to open one of my HTML files in CSS HTML Validator Home 2021, I get an error message saying there is a UTF-8 coding problem.
How do I find the referenced position # for the error in the document? Is there a way to force the file to open and find the error? Can I use another software to find and fix the error? You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Error Opening File UTF-8 Encoding Problem
Hello,
Currently, CSS HTML Validator doesn't open these files because it's not designed to handle encoding errors and data/characters could be lost (although that may be the case anyway).
You can send the document to me (via email attachment) and I can try to fix it using EmEditor or you can try EmEditor yourself. I have found that text editor to be good for character encoding issues.
There's a free Lite edition/version of it here:
https://www.emeditor.com/text-editor-fe ... itor-free/
I use the Pro edition.
EmEditor also integrates with CSS HTML Validator, BTW.
I hope this helps.
