Batch Wizard report creation date

Post by ktp »

Hello,

I discover that Batch Wizard (BW) report creation date/time is not what I (as an user) expect.
From developer's point of view, the report is effectively created at start of BW run,
but from end-user's point of view, the BW report is only available for browsing at the end of BW run (either from normal end or from Stop request by user). So I would expect (and would be interested) to have this date/time set to the end of the run.

The difference is important when processing time (mostly with "Link checking" enabled) is long (more than few minutes).
There is "elapsed time" indicated, but one needs to mentally add this elapsed time to the current BW report creation date to get the ending time.

So my suggestion is either :
- change the BW report creation date/time to the BW ending date/time.
- or add something like:
Batch Wizard start time: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss
Batch Wizard end time: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss
This would then be completed with existing elapsed time.

In the next update 'Report created' has been renamed 'Job start time' and a new 'Job end time' has been added.
