Feature request - image height/width attributes

Post by siliconglen »

When I request an <IMG tag to be inserted in a document, it would be fantastic if I could reference the image file on my disk and the relevant HTML inserted, importantly with the height and width attributes already prefilled by reading the image properties. There may be a way of doing this at present but I haven't found it and it's very tedious as I have a large number of images to insert.

thanks

Craig

Thanks Craig. THere's no way to current do that in CSE HTML Validator. I've had something like this on my mind now for awhile, but just seemed to have more important things to add or address. I'll make sure this is on my "to do" list for v8.0 or a version after it. Similarly, one of the things I've wanted to do is to check the height and width attributes of images, but am not sure exactly how that would be done in a way that wouldn't greatly affect validation performance. It would have to be an additional option to only do it sometimes.

Anyway, your suggestion is noted. Thank you.

You might want to check out my web maintenance sofware at the web site in my profile which does this and more (importing images in three different formats and inserting the correct with and height while doing this is just one of the features).

Let me know if you are interested (via messanger or email).
