RGBA color picker

Post by captainbetty »

It'd be really nice to be able to have the option to insert or convert to the RGB# color values either in the color dialog or context menu instead of having to rely on stylesweeper to hit the entire document. Would make using RGBA for colors easier.

FYI.. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For finally implementing drag/drop editing. I was about to abandon for the Visual Studio editor.

Agree, RGBA support is missing and RGB support is a bit incomplete:
  • there is no highlighting of a RGBA and RGB color values;
  • when text cursor is within RGB or RGBA value there is no little color swatch below appears;
  • RGBA colors don't appear in CSS Palette Editor;
  • RGBA colors cant be created within Color Picker dialog.
P.S. The same goes for HSL and HSLA.

Don't see anything changed in this regard in 55 build.

There are no UI changes, but the color picker and the CSS Palette Panel should understand what to do with rgba() now.

Ok, I see it now in CSS Palette Editor panel and in Color Insight. Thanks for this update.

RGBA usage is pretty big nowadays (since IE9 supported it), so would be nice to have some GUI changes too. IMO, TopStyle was always ahead of competitors in helping with color selection, and hope it will continue to lead :)
