Bring Validator Window to front when opening a file?

I have searched the settings but can not find how I can have the validator window automatically brought to the front when I open a document that I have associated with the program. If the validator is closed, and I double click on an htm file, it does open the validator and display the document in a window that is on top of all others. However, if I am working in the validator and the window is already open, I go to my file directory, double click on an htm file, the file is loaded in validator, but the validator window remains behind my Windows Explorer window so that I have an extra click to bring it to the front.

In addition to the file loaded in the program, I am used to the program window also brought to the front when opening files that I have associated with the program, examples, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Firefox, Irfanview, and pretty much every program I use. I hope there is a setting somewhere for what I would think would be default behavior.

Other that this, I am enjoying using your program, CSS HTML Validator Home 2024/v24, on a Windows 11 Pro.

Hi Nancy,

There is no setting to control this but I made a change in v24.01 that I believe will do what you want. This update is planned for release before the end of the month.
