The <strike> Element

The <strike> element is deprecated in HTML 4.01 and obsolete in HTML5, but the <s> element is a standard HTML 4.01 and HTML5 element. Instead of <strike>, use <s> for content that is no longer accurate or no longer relevant, or use CSS if <strike> is wanted only for its presentational effect ("text-decoration: line-through").
