Highlight Options

Error lines in maroon - Check this box to highlight lines that caused error messages to be generated during a validation in maroon. If this box is not checked, then the messages still appear, but the lines that caused them to be generated are not highlighted in the editor component window. Note that for this option to have an effect, line highlighting must be enabled (View->Editor->Line Highlighting). This option is enabled by default.

Warning lines in yellow - Check this box to highlight lines that caused warnings to be generated during a validation in yellow. If this box is not checked, then the messages still appear, but the lines that caused them to be generated are not highlighted in the editor component window. Note that for this option to have an effect, line highlighting must be enabled (View->Editor->Line Highlighting). This option is enabled by default.

Message (not errors or warnings) lines in blue - Check this box to highlight lines that caused messages to be generated during a validation in blue. If this box is not checked, then the messages still appear, but the lines that caused them to be generated are not highlighted in the editor component window. Note that for this option to have an effect, line highlighting must be enabled (View->Editor->Line Highlighting). This option is enabled by default.

Highlight validator message lines only when showing the Results Window - Check this box to hide the validator message line highlights (for error, warning, and message lines) when the Results Window is hidden or when it's not visible. This option is enabled by default. (New v14.0)

Current line - Check this box to highlight the current line that the cursor is on in the editor. The highlight (background) color can be changed by pressing the Highlight Color button. This option is enabled by default. (New v9.0)

Focus line - Check this box to highlight the line that the cursor is moving to. For example, to highlight the line when clicking a validator message or a tag in the structure view and the cursor moves/jumps to the relevant source line. This makes it easier to visually locate the cursor and the point of interest. This option is enabled by default. (New v9.0)

Other Options

Focus time for "focus line" option (milliseconds) - When highlighting the line that the cursor is moving to, this option sets the amount of time (in milliseconds) to highlight the line. The default is 500 milliseconds (half a second). (New v9.02)
